About the event

Whether you care for your subs and wish better posture for them,  or whether you are a rope practitioner with achy hands, shoulders, and knees, or a dom that gifts consensual pain to others while navigating the realities of your own chronic pain–we have a little bit of relief for you.

Ting Jin Healing provides quick, painless relief from chronic stiffness, pain, misalignment, and joint injury using a 2-person system based in traditional Tai Chi Chuan to decalcify the connective tissue, open the joints and lengthen the structure, instantaneously restoring mobility and function, while creating space in the body via gentle, intelligent traction. Where others use kung fu to break bones, we use it to realign them. We specialize in: posture, mobility, pain relief, idiopathic scoliosis, joint sprains and decalcification of connective tissues.

During this 3-hour interactive gallery style clinic, you will be invited to discuss your personal relationship to chronic pain as it relates to your daily life and/or  rope/ BDSM/kink practice. Drawing on your stories and feedback, Ting Jin Healing will offer a group consultation that addresses the cumulative nature and impact of the repetitive motions of your practices, in addition to posture and mobility instruction. The clinic will conclude with ample time for live demonstrations of Tai Chi Treatments on clinic volunteers.

The structure of each body will be treated with a series of minimal effective doses of internal power that is cultivated through rigorous training in internal martial arts. Tai Chi Treatments require mastery of internal force (jin) and the ability to feel or listen deep into the patient's body/structure (ting).

As visitors to The Rope Collective, we come to you honoring the fact that BDSM and shibari can be a progressively consensual and carefully choreographed practice. We understand that your own practices are crafted to permit control, create and preserve boundaries, and facilitate communication around pain and pleasure. We honor the kung fu in your practices, and aim to share our martial healing practices with you to sustain your bodies and your practices in the name of wellness and longevity.

We look forward to working with you.

This is an all levels event! Open to all bodies and abilities. Partners are not required and you are always able and welcome to come and learn solo and/or just observe and take notes.
